As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, ESPN analyst Ben Solak has been “screaming” for the Bills to trade down from the 26th overall pick.
Solak suggests that despite Brady’s internal hire, the team is in a transition period, but he acknowledges that the front office’s aggressive offseason move for DJ Moore indicates a continued commitment to maintaining a top-tier offense for Josh Allen.
And according to another detailed ESPN report, the Bills’ decision to trade their 2026 second-round pick (No. 60) to the Chicago Bears as part of the package for Moore has left the organization with a bittersweet outlook.
While the front office is reportedly “not happy” about being completely absent from the second round, they remain defiant in their choice. Buffalo values Moore as a premier playmaker coveted by several other teams across the league.

Much like the 2020 trade for Stefon Diggs, the Bills are prepared to celebrate their new acquisition on draft night, focusing on Moore’s highlights rather than the pick they surrendered.
Despite this major acquisition, insiders Alaina Getzenberg and Jordan Reid suggest that Buffalo is far from finished at the position.
While Moore provides flexibility to address other needs, general manager Brandon Beane has stated the team remains open to drafting a wide receiver in the first round.
Adding a high-ceiling rookie to a room already featuring Moore would create an elite duo, forcing opposing secondaries to pick their poison and opening up the field for Josh Allen.

The Bills have multiple holes to fill, and the desire to provide Allen with an overwhelming array of weapons remains a top priority heading into the first round.
