Two 6-1 teams enter Monday Night Football with very different questions. Can the Buffalo Bills keep rolling against the NFL's stingiest defense? Can the Minnesota Vikings generate enough offense to avoid wasting another strong defensive performance?

Buffalo visits U.S. Bank Stadium on November 9 following a 36–10 victory over Baltimore. Minnesota returns home after Detroit ended its unbeaten start with a 19–15 win. The Bills opened as three-point favorites, setting up a compelling clash between offensive firepower and defensive disruption.

These three predictions anticipate a departure from Minnesota's usual defensive script, explosive passing, costly mistakes and a dramatic finish that hands Buffalo its second defeat.

Justin Jefferson explodes for 175 yards and two touchdowns

Jefferson will deliver the performance Minnesota has been waiting for, finishing with at least 175 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Jefferson caught five passes for 33 yards and a touchdown against Detroit and enters Week 9 without a 100-yard receiving game. Buffalo presents an opportunity to change that. Its defense ranks 30th against the pass, making this a matchup Minnesota should attack rather than approach conservatively.

The Vikings need to manufacture touches before asking Jefferson to win difficult downfield assignments. Motion, condensed formations and crossing routes would help create cleaner releases and give the quarterback defined throwing windows.

The bigger gains should follow when Buffalo adjusts to those shorter completions. One double move or broken coverage could turn a productive evening into a spectacular one.

Quarterback availability remains important. Kyler Murray is managing hamstring tightness , with Carson Wentz the likely alternative if Murray cannot play.

Expect Minnesota to make its best receiver the centerpiece, not merely a name opponents must account for.

Josh Allen accounts for four touchdowns but commits three turnovers

Allen will produce enough spectacular plays to keep Buffalo dangerous and enough mistakes to give Minnesota control of the outcome.

The bold prediction is four total touchdowns alongside three turnovers, including at least two interceptions.

Minnesota's defense provides the foundation for that aggressive forecast. Entering Week 9, the Vikings lead the league in points allowed per game at 13.3, quarterback pressure rate at 45.8 percent and sack percentage at 10.96 percent.

Pressure alone will not neutralize Allen. His ability to escape the pocket can turn a successful blitz into a defensive emergency, particularly when coverage players must chase receivers across the field.

That creates the central tension. Minnesota will win several snaps decisively, but Allen will punish a few failed pressure attempts with explosive completions or scrambling opportunities.

The turnovers will come when he tries to rescue plays that should end with a throwaway. Disguised coverage behind an apparent blitz can invite exactly that kind of aggressive decision.

Buffalo's offensive line also bears watching. Right tackle Spencer Brown's availability is a concern entering the matchup, potentially complicating protection against Minnesota's pressure packages.

Allen will remain the game's most dangerous improviser. On this night, improvisation will carry a substantial price.

Minnesota wins 38–35 on a last-second field goal

The final bold prediction ties those individual performances together: Minnesota wins a shootout with a field goal as time expires.

A 38–35 result would produce 73 points, comfortably exceeding the opening total of 46.5. It would also represent a dramatic departure from the Vikings' defensive scoring average.

The logic is not that Minnesota suddenly becomes a bad defense. Turnovers and explosive plays can produce points without requiring long, methodical drives.

Jefferson's breakout keeps the Vikings moving, while Allen repeatedly answers before one late mistake gives Minnesota the deciding possession.

After losing its unbeaten record, Minnesota will respond with its most convincing offensive statement and a victory that reinforces its place among the league's contenders.
