Blow as Juventus target agrees new Atalanta deal until 2031
Giorgio Scalvini is one of the Italian talents Juventus have been following for a long time, but he has handed them a significant setback after signing a new contract with Atalanta .
Scalvini has been on the books of La Dea since his formative years, having come through the club's ranks to establish himself as one of the best young talents in Italian football.

A long term injury disrupted his progress, but there is no doubt that he remains one of the top players in the country. He has continued to deliver strong performances whenever he has been available, underlining why Juventus have maintained their interest in him.
Juventus Maintain Interest in Scalvini
This is one of the reasons Juventus believe Scalvini belongs at their club, with the Old Lady keen to ensure that the defender joins them at some point in the future.
However, Atalanta want him to remain at the club and do not want to lose such an important talent. His importance to the team has made his future a significant issue for both clubs, particularly with Juventus continuing to monitor his situation.

Atalanta's desire to retain Scalvini has now been strengthened by his new contract. The agreement gives the Italian club greater protection over one of their most valuable players and makes a potential transfer to Juventus more complicated.

New Deal Raises Transfer Cost
Tuttojuve reports that Scalvini has agreed to a new deal with Atalanta that will keep him at the club until 2031. The agreement represents a significant setback for Juventus as they continue to consider a future move for the defender.
The new contract does not necessarily prevent Scalvini from leaving Atalanta, but it strengthens the club's position in any future negotiations. Juventus would therefore have to consider a potentially substantial fee if they decide to continue pursuing the defender.

For Atalanta, the agreement protects Scalvini's value and gives them greater control over his future. For Juventus, however, the situation means that securing his signature could now require a major financial commitment.
