Sunday Night Football will feature an NFC East battle between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders . The Eagles and Commanders are having lackluster starts to the NFL season, and injuries have been the main culprits.
The division is up for grabs, and there is plenty of time for any of the four teams to leap into first place. Philadelphia faces an uphill battle as the team continues to play without quarterback Jalen Hurts.
As wide receiver DeVonta Smith is set to miss the game, the Eagles will again rely on running back Saquon Barkley. Here are four bold predictions ahead of Sunday Night Football.

Sunday night will be McKee's third start of the season. He's had modest production, but this will be the game when the coaching staff removes the training wheels. The Commanders are surrendering the 28th–most passing yards per game and Tanner McKee will have success spreading the ball to open receivers. His success will follow Saquon Barkley's ability to turn rushing attempts into big gains.
Prediction:In his third start of the season, quarterback Tanner McKee will have the best game of his career. He will end the night with 300 yards passing and three touchdowns.
Tight end Dallas Goedert will exploit Washington's defense for the second time this season

In Week 1, Dallas Goedert torched the Commanders for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Washington has struggled at containing opposing tight ends, allowing the 2nd–most touchdowns. As DeVonta Smith misses Sunday Night Football, the tight end will be targeted often by quarterback Tanner McKee.
Prediction:Dallas Goedert has another big game against the Commanders, finishing the game with 90 yards receiving and two touchdown receptions.

The Eagles continue to struggle to stop opposing running backs, and Sunday night will be a big game for Rachaad White. As the team placed Jacory Croskey-Merritt on IR, White took over the lead back role a week ago. He had little success against a stout San Francisco defense, but this will change in Week 8's meeting with Philadelphia.
Prediction:Rachaad White will receive the most carries he's had in his first season with Washington, taking advantage of an Eagles defense struggling to stop opposing running backs. White will reach 100 yards rushing for the first time since 2023.

Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels will have 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing

The season has been underwhelming for Washington, and quarterback Jayden Daniels must put the team on his shoulders. Daniels has yet to commit a turnover this season, and this bodes well against a Philadelphia defense that ranks 32ndin forced turnovers. The Commanders' field general will have success through the air and on the ground.
Prediction:Jayden Daniels will pass for over 200 yards and use his legs, totaling 100 yards rushing.
