- Brayden Burries’ Milwaukee Bucks debut vs. Washington Wizards draws glowing review from Taylor Jenkins
The Milwaukee Bucks put up a valiant stand in their 128-116 road loss to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. After leading for much of the game, the hosts went on a 21-2 run to secure the victory in front of their home crowd.
Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Kasparas Jakucionis led the Milwaukee Bucks in scoring with 24, 22, and 15 points, and veteran center Myles Turner added 11 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Moreover, one of their rookies also fared well in his NBA debut in the nation's capital.

The Milwaukee Bucks used the No. 10 pick in this summer's NBA Draft to select Brayden Burries , and the 21-year-old combo guard provided a huge lift off the bench against the Washington Wizards, contributing 12 points and five rebounds on 3-for-6 shooting in 16 minutes.
"The shots were great, but I thought he was also making good reads. He was one of our guys that was able to get downhill… (He) looked very comfortable. I thought he did a lot of good things defensively. This is great for him to get this exposure right out of the gate. His two-way impact is something we're gonna continue to stress for him," Jenkins said of Burries.

Brayden Burries subbed in late in the first quarter. He scored his first career points by sinking two free throws in the second quarter before completing an and-one for his first NBA field goal.
"First bucket, yeah, I think it was good. I feel like 'and-one' for the first bucket was pretty good. Space and tried to get the 'and-one '; the team got into it. It was pretty cool, you know? First point, a free throw, see the ball go through the rim, that's pretty good, too," Burries told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "It's another game for me. But it's a blessing. I was really excited to play the official one."
