Daniel Vogelbach could be a hot name this offseason after serving as one of the hitting coaches for the World Series-winning Milwaukee Brewers , that is unless teams were watching Friday's championship celebration . The former All-Star designated hitter and first baseman startled and captivated a jovial crowd in Cream City, as he broke out an inebriated version of "Stacy's Mom."

The popular karaoke song, which was brought into the world by Fountains of Wayne in 2003, perfectly fit the wacky vibes that often define these sort of festivities, especially in the midafternoon. With a cracking voice, a Miller Lite in hand and a willingness to please the masses, Vogelbach gutted through a few verses and even kept going after they cut the music, via Vincent Hesprich.

Brewers play-by-play man and emcee Brian Anderson did his best to move the proceedings along, while enjoying the fun himself, but the 2011 second-round draft pick was determined. He did not reach the iconic chorus, however, leaving fans wanting more. Those who remember Vogelbach from his playing days should not be surprised to see him let loose on stage.

The former left-handed batter famously used "Milkshake" as his walkup music for Women's Day at the New York Mets' Citi Field back in 2022 and temporarily had "Stacy's Mom" as his intro song while playing for the Brewers in 2021. Vogelbach and Christian Yelich wanted to experiment with selections from the team's late-1990s and early-2000s playlist, so perhaps the latter is the one who cued the speakers on Friday.

Regardless, spirits are sky-high in Milwaukee. Daniel Vogelbach was an impactful addition to the Brew Crew's staff and did his part to unlock an offense that scored 59 runs while posting a .262 batting average, .346 on-base percentage, .396 slugging percentage and .742 OPS during the 2026 MLB playoffs. Those numbers topped the rest of the postseason field and were similar to the stout production the team amassed in the regular season.

The Brewers did enjoy a power boost in October, however, mashing 13 home runs in 13 playoff games. Vogelbach, a slugger who hit 30 dingers for the Seattle Mariners in 2019, should probably get some credit for that surge. He deserves recognition for his contributions to the franchise's first-ever World Series title , and thanks to "Stacy's Mom," he is getting a healthy share of the limelight.

Time will tell if the 33-year-old lands an interview for a lead hitting coach position on another ballclub, or if he wants to keep working under Eric Theisen in Milwaukee. It might be hard to get this type of excitement somewhere else.
