Broncos Wire 's 91-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at sixth-year wide receiver Michael Bandy , No. 83.
Before the Broncos : Bandy (5-10, 190 pounds) went undrafted out of the University of San Diego in 2020, and he spent two seasons playing for the TSL Conquerors in The Spring League before landing with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. He spent the majority of his first NFL season on L.A.'s practice squad, appearing in just one game, returning four kickoffs for 88 yards. Bandy saw more time on the field in 2022, playing in 10 games (two starts). In those 10 appearances, Bandy was targeted 21 times, catching 10 passes for 89 yards. Following his time with the Chargers, Bandy spent the 2023 spring season with the XFL's Houston Roughnecks.

Broncos tenure:Bandy signed with the Broncos prior to the 2023 season, quietly making his way onto the practice squad. Bandy appeared in only one game in his first season with Denver , with zero catches. In 2024, Bandy spent his entire season on the practice squad. In 2025, Bandy again was on the practice squad, but played his first impactful snaps for the Broncos . Bandy, coming off the bench, appeared in four games, catching four passes for 50 yards and his first career pro touchdown .
Chances to make the 53-man roster:Likely a practice squad candidate. After catching his first career touchdown, Bandy has a chance to remain with the Broncos as a member of the practice squad. He's unlikely to crack the active roster in Denver, but Bandy could very well find himself on one of the other 31 NFL rosters if he doesn't want to compete on the practice squad again in 2026.
