The fourth quarter and ending of Sunday's game between the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans were both wild, but in the end, Cleveland's attempted comeback fell just short, and the 31-29 loss sent the Browns to 3-10 on the season. With four games left, the Browns have been eliminated from playoff contention, and will be sitting at home in January for the second straight year.
The Browns attempted to erase multiple two-score deficits on Sunday. After trailing 14-3 in the first quarter, the Browns took a 17-14 lead into halftime, but sloppy play in the second half allowed Tennessee to build a 31-17 fourth-quarter lead. Cleveland's offense came alive, scoring two touchdowns in the final few minutes of the game, but failed two-point conversions on both fourth-quarter touchdowns wound up being the difference in the two-point loss.
Here's how fans are reacting to Sunday's loss.
The two-point attempt
Fans, former players, and media members alike were not happy with how the Browns handled their final two-point conversion. Instead of riding the hot hand with Shedeur Sanders , who led an 80-yard touchdown drive in less than two minutes to put the Browns in position to tie the game, the coaching staff instead opted to run a wildcat play, which played out in disastrous fashion.
Shedeur Sanders himself
Regardless of baffling coaching decisions, the Browns' rookie quarterback had the best game of his career on Sunday and showcased plenty of promising flashes. Sanders racked up 393 total yards and four total touchdowns -- both career-highs to this point -- and led the Browns on two impressive fourth-quarter touchdown drives to give them a chance.
The Stefanski convo... again
It feels like a mind-numbing decision from the Browns' head coach that sends fans into a frenzy is becoming a weekly occurrence. Fans' reactions to the play call from Cleveland's offensive staff on the game-deciding two-point conversion were displayed above, but once again, after a brutal loss, Browns fans are calling for his job.
