The Browns made it a priority this offseason to overhaul their offensive line, but some familiar faces could still make their way into the mix in 2026.
Two players who started multiple games for the Browns up front last season – left tackle Dawand Jones and center Luke Wypler – remain under contract with the team for 2026, and according to head coach Todd Monken, could get back to work soon. Per ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi , Monken is "hopeful" to get Jones and Wyper back in action by the end of offseason workouts.
Wypler appeared in all 17 games for the Browns last season, starting five and suffering a knee injury during the season finale against Cincinnati . Jones, meanwhile, suffered a season-ending LCL tear and hamstring avulsion in Week 3 against the Packers, his third serious injury in three years as an NFL player.
Where does the Ohio State duo stand with the Browns?
Those two players in particular could be very helpful for the Browns if they're able to operate on that timeline. While the Browns shelled out big money for starters in Tytus Howard , Zion Johnson , and Elgton Jenkins , they're currently lacking obvious starters at left tackle and center, the respective natural positions for Jones and Wypler.
Both players could serve as spot starters with their previous experience, but could also provide depth or veteran competition for any rookies that the team chooses to pursue in this month's draft. Wypler's timely return could also help ensure the Browns can start Jenkins at center, which Monken revealed is his preference during his remarks at the NFL annual league meetings in Phoenix this week.
