The Cleveland Browns officially have every member of their 90-man roster under contract now after restricted free agent safety Ronnie Hickman Jr. signed his tender .
This comes after three seasons with the team, initially signing as an undrafted free agent in 2023. Hickman has since started 26 games for the Browns, including all 17 in 2025 under former defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. He is now locked in for at least one more season in Cleveland. However, what are the finer details of the contract that Hickman has now agreed to? How much money do the Browns owe the fourth-year safety in 2026?
We've got you covered.
Browns set to pay Hickman $3.52 million in 2026
Because Hickman was given the right to refusal tender, the lowest restricted free agency tender that can be provided, he will be set to earn $3.52 million in 2026 before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the season. There is also a chance that the Browns could look to work out a contract extension with Hickman even after the tender has been signed.
Over the Cap has Hickman valued at right below $10 million per year. This means that he could be in line for a three-year deal worth upwards of $30 million in total value, similar to the deal that Grant Delpit signed during the 2023 season. We'll see if the Browns and Hickman can get a long-term deal done, even with this being a contract year for Delpit as well and the selection of Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in the 2026 NFL Draft.
