Fraser Minten had a night he won’t forget against his hometown Vancouver Canucks .
The Bruins forward scored two goals — including the game-winner in overtime — in Boston’s win over Vancouver on Saturday night.
“Can’t describe a better script,” coach Marco Sturm told reporters .
Minten had several people in attendance at Rogers Arena as they watched the forward score the game’s first goal and then the overtime winner.
“Definitely an unbelievable moment,” Minten told NESN after the win . “Probably one of the coolest days of my life.”
The 21-year-old was acquired by the Bruins from the Maple Leafs at last year’s trade deadline for a deal that included sending Brandon Carlo to Toronto . In 42 games this season, Minten has eight goals and nine assists as he continues to grow into his role .
“He’s putting himself in great positions because one: he’s an elite player. Two: he’s a great teammate. And three: he works his bag off,” Jeremy Swayman said . “He’s a Bruin through and through and he’s a guy that we want in our locker room. And he’s going to carry this culture for a long time.”
