The Chicago Bulls have demonstrated they are a work in progress during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. In sports, teams learn more about themselves when they lose more often than they win.
On Thursday, they learned a lot after being blown out by the Los Angeles Lakers , 105-82.
A loss that was defined in large part by their poor 3-point shooting , per K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Sports Network. Overall, they shot 3-for-33 from beyond the arc as they now fall to 1-3 in the Summer League.

Caleb Wilson finished with 21 points and 8 rebounds, but also had 8 turnovers to his name. Altogether, Wilson has been the Bulls' standout player during the Summer League. Additionally, Dailyn Swain's struggles continued as he finished with only 4 points and went 1-for-5 from the field. Plus, Noa Essengue played 11 minutes and finished with a basket and seven fouls.
At one point, the Bulls were 1-for-21 from the 3-point and trailed by 31 points. Clearly, the Bulls need to figure out how to make shots beyond the arc. Last year, they finished with a 35.6% 3-point shooting percentage, which was 19th in the league.
The game featured some notable highlights courtesy of Caleb Wilson. In the second quarter, Wilson threw down a slam dunk that quickly went viral and was on par with his tomahawk dunk against the Utah Jazz on Monday.
Then, Wilson got into a verbal scuffle with Lakers rookie Arthur Kaluma . Wilson was caught on camera mouthing the words "who are you?" toward Kaluma. Ultimately, both sides spilled onto the court and had to be separated.
The Bulls will now face the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last Summer League game on Friday at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
