The England captain is set to make his 100th Bundesliga appearance, having already recorded an extraordinary 101 goals and 26 assists in his first 99 league matches.
Upamecano also enters the fixture with an impressive individual record, having gone unbeaten in his last 49 Bundesliga appearances.
Bayern's home form presents another challenge for Die Roten Bullen . Kompany's side are unbeaten in their last 14 league matches at the Allianz Arena, winning 12 and drawing twice.
They have also scored 12 goals in their first two home Bundesliga fixtures this season, a figure surpassed at this stage only by Eintracht Frankfurt in 1976/77.

Nkunku Could Lead Leipzig's Challenge Against Bayern
Martín Demichelis could field an attacking Leipzig lineup featuring Antonio Nusa, Rômulo and Brajan Gruda, with Christopher Nkunku operating behind the front line.
Ezechiel Banzuzi and Neil El Aynaoui are expected to complete the midfield, while David Raum is predicted to captain the side from left-back. Willi Orbán and Castello Lukeba could form the central defensive pairing, with Ridle Baku on the right and Maarten Vandevoordt expected to start in goal.
Nkunku will be one of the players to watch following his sensational hat-trick against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend.

The Frenchman also has an impressive history at the Allianz Arena, having scored three Bundesliga goals at Bayern's stadium.
Currently, only Dodi Lukébakio and Markus Rosenberg, with 4 goals each, have scored the most league goals there as visiting players.
Leipzig Face Their Biggest Test Yet
The Red Bulls arrive in Munich after consecutive victories over Frankfurt and PSV Eindhoven, results that have strengthened confidence under Demichelis.
Their 6-0 demolition of Frankfurt highlighted the squad's attacking potential, while the narrow Champions League victory over PSV demonstrated their ability to grind out results.

However, Bayern represent a different level of opposition, particularly at the Allianz Arena.
With Kane approaching another milestone, Nkunku looking to continue his remarkable scoring form and both teams boasting exceptional attacking numbers, Saturday's meeting promises to be one of the Bundesliga's standout fixtures.
The predicted lineups suggest neither coach intends to sacrifice attacking ambition, although the official selections will only be confirmed closer to kick-off.
For Leipzig , the opportunity is clear: turn their impressive start into a statement result against the defending champions.
From here the stage only gets bigger.
