💣 Cagliari go top! Maldini sinks Udinese 1-0, defensive howler 😱
Cagliari suffer but beat Udinese 1-0 away from home, with Daniel Maldini proving decisive (54') as he takes advantage of a huge error by the Friulian defence. The numbers tell the story of the match well: 26 shots (with 5 saves from Caprile) compared to Cagliari's 5 attempts.
Cagliari move up to 12 points after 5 matches, temporarily top of the table alongside Roma and Inter . Udinese stay on 4 points: a third straight defeat after losses to Lazio and Inter.
‼️Udinese dominance, Davis OUT and... Maldini's goal 👀
In the first half, Udinese dominate possessionand the chances created: the biggest one wasted by Zaniolo in the middle of the box, as he shoots almost out for a throw-in from a cross from the left.

Runjaic is left despairing over the missed finish because the Friulians literally risk nothing in the opening 45 minutes. The German coach, however, is forced to do without Davis because of a muscle problemand replaces Zaniolo at the start of the second half.
The second half follows the same script: chances keep coming for Udinese and Caprile saves everything, especially a Kabasele effort from the edge of the six-yard box following a corner.
Shortly afterwards came Cagliari's 1-0 on an unbelievable Udinese mix-up:Miller plays the ball back and Kabasele inexplicably lets it run, Daniel Maldinicollects it in the box and dribbles past Okoye before scoring into an empty net in the 54th minute.
