Caleb Williams is entering the 2026-2027 NFL season with a new look.

The Chicago Bears quarterback debuted his new look when he attended a Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins game on Sept. 4. Williams was spotted in the stands wearing a Chicago Cubs jersey and went viral for shaving off a majority of his facial hair. He did, however, keep his hair the same, but when he put the peace sign, fans noticed that his signature painted nails were no longer there. The NFL star rocked painted nails throughout his career, and it became a signature for him.
Fans appreciated the new look from Williams, with many suggesting he's on the way to a successful NFL season.
"Bro got that Apollo Creed look….MVP incoming," one fan wrote on X .
"Anyone with a stache in Chicago sports history has been successful," another fan commented on X.

One online user shared that they preferred his old look, "Needs to grow the beard back asap," the fan wrote .
Williams attended the game with Caleb Wilson, Cole Bennett, and Matas Buzelis, who all donned Cubs jerseys. The Bears quarterback had another viral moment at the game when he cheered on Pete Crow-Armstrong and chanted "MVP" alongside Bennet, Buzelis, and Wilson. Williams and Crow-Armstrong are close friends and have supported one another throughout their careers by attending each other's games.
Caleb Williams on next season
As Williams enters his third season in the NFL, he is not yet eligible for a contract extension, but he made it clear that money is not an issue for him as he thinks about next season's goals.

"Money's not a motivating factor for me in that sense," he told the C hicago Sun-Times earlier this week. "If I wanted to be done today, I'd be fine. If I wanted to be done and go somewhere and disappear for a long time and never come back and y'all would never see me again, I'd be OK. That's not my motivation.
He added: "Winning, winning, winning handles everything... so that's where my mind's at."
Williams is currently on a fully guaranteed four-year rookie contract worth roughly $39.5 million. Last season, he led the Bears to an NFC North division title and the NFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. When it comes to his future with the Bears, he also made it clear where he wants to be.
"I obviously want to be here forever," Williams said. "That's a goal of mine: to be at one place until I'm done, until I decide that it's over for me and I want to go home and ride off into the sun... I'll be here."

The Bears' first game of the season will be against the Carolina Panthers at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 13.
