AJ Dybantsa has drawn admirers for his rim pressure and finishing in the nation's capital, Yaxel Lendenborg already looks like the steal of the class for the Warriors and Darius Acuff's and Caleb Wilson's offensive skills have lit up the floors in Sacramento and Chicago, respectively.
Of all the first-year talents to turn out for NBA sides this season, arguably no one has had a better start to life than Cameron Boozer, though. His Grizzlies are the only team to suffer defeat this campaign. That's not a surprise given the way Boozer has been playing.
With that, here's a look at the finer details on Boozer's performance — namely, how it has thrust him into the league's record books at the tender age of 19.
How Cameron Boozer landed in NBA record books
The Grizzlies' unbeaten start has put Boozer in elite company among NBA teenagers past and present. Boozer is the first teenager in league history to win each of his first five starts.

Boozer is hardly the only reason why Memphis is unbeaten. Ty Jerome ranks 10th in the league in scoring, producing points in bunches on elite efficiency. Cedric Coward and Jaylen Wells have been similarly proficient, cementing their status as some of the sport's better youngsters one triple at a time. Tuomas Iisalo's sets have earned rave reviews, while the roster looks balanced.
Neverthleess, Boozer remains the headliner. While his shooting splits hardly inspire, his production is hard to ignore. The 19-year-old is strong and savvy. He has used both attributes to great effect in his maiden season, becoming the fastest player since 1960 to hit the 100-point, 50-rebound, 25-assist mark. Boozer, the youngest non-guard in league history to record a triple-double, is here for the long run. His place in the NBA record books proves it.
