Canada faces Morocco in a historic Round of 16 showdown at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Saturday, July 4.
The co-hosts enter the match with confidence after an impressive tournament run. Despite a group-stage loss to Switzerland , Jesse Marsch's side advanced as the runners-up in Group B.
They then booked their first-ever place in the Round of 16 by defeating South Africa 1-0 in the Round of 32, thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Stephen Eustáquio .
Morocco, meanwhile, arrives after producing one of the tournament's biggest upsets. The 2022 World Cup semifinalists eliminated European powerhouse the Netherlands in a tense penalty shootout in the Round of 32.
The Atlas Lions are once again proving that they are a formidable team not to be taken lightly and will look to replicate last World Cup's semi-final run.
