(IMAGO / Team 2)
Bayer Leverkusen head coach Carles Martínez has expressed his satisfaction with life at the BayArena, revealing that his strong relationship with the players, coaching staff, and club management has been crucial to his positive experience in Germany.
The Spaniard remains convinced that Leverkusen are making progress under his leadership, despite the challenges of a demanding schedule and last weekend's disappointing Bundesliga defeat against Hoffenheim.

Speaking to RP-Online , Martínez emphasised that his happiness goes beyond results, highlighting the sense of unity he has developed within the club.
Martínez Feels At Home In Leverkusen
"I feel very comfortable and am happy. I come here every day with the conviction that we are growing and getting better and better."
- Martínez explained.
The Spanish coach believes the relationships he has established since taking charge are fundamental to the team's development.
"Honestly, the most important thing for me is that I feel we are connected: between the players and me, between the coaching staff and me, and also between the club and me."
- He added.
His comments offer insight into the environment Martínez is trying to create at Leverkusen , where maintaining trust and communication has become particularly important during a period of significant changes within the squad.
The Spaniard has had to integrate several new players, manage injuries to important first-team members, and establish his tactical approach while competing across three competitions.

Despite those challenges, Martínez remains confident that the team is moving in the right direction.
Results Support Martínez's Growing Confidence
Die Werkself's recent performances provide reasons for the coach's optimism.
Before their 3-0 defeat against Hoffenheim, Die Werkself had recorded six consecutive victories across all competitions, establishing attacking momentum and producing several convincing performances.
The setback in Sinsheim exposed weaknesses, particularly in Leverkusen's ability to create chances against organised opponents.
However, Martínez's side responded with a dramatic 5-2 victory over Nürnberg in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday.

After falling two goals behind, Bayer scored five unanswered goals to secure their place in the round of 16.
Martínez's half-time adjustments proved important, with the introductions of Patrik Schick, Ibrahim Maza and Ezequiel Fernández helping Leverkusen regain control.
The comeback demonstrated the team's attacking potential, but also highlighted the inconsistency that Martínez is still working to eliminate.
Stuttgart Clash Offers Another Test
Die Werkself now turn their attention to Saturday's Bundesliga encounter against VfB Stuttgart, where they will attempt to maintain their perfect competitive home record.

Martínez's side have won all five of their home matches this season, making the BayArena an important source of confidence.
However, the coach will want his players to avoid repeating the defensive mistakes that allowed Nürnberg to establish a 2-0 lead in midweek.
With several players still unavailable through injury and competition for starting places intensifying, Martínez must continue balancing squad rotation with the need for consistent performances.
His latest comments suggest that, regardless of those challenges, he believes the foundations for long-term progress are already in place.
For the Spaniard, the connection between everyone at Leverkusen is not simply a positive aspect of his job. It is central to his belief that the team can continue improving as the season progresses.
