Fresh off a career year, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown has been rumored as a trade candidate this offseason. The New Orleans Pelicans , Atlanta Hawks , Portland Trail Blazers, and Houston Rockets all have reported interest in trading for the Cal product, who just finished fourth in the NBA in scoring (28.7 points per game).

Whispers of Boston's interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo , in particular, have sparked rumors of a trade involving Brown. That spark gained some fuel with the revelation that Brown's Boston penthouse was put on the market. The small forward listed his 49 Melcher St. property and the adjacent unit together for $4,995,000 , with the Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman in charge of the listing. The combination totals 3,500 square feet.
Celtics fans who don't want to see their former number three pick leave can take a sigh of relief, though. This isn't the first time Brown has put the property on the market. In fact, he listed the main penthouse for $4,750,000 in 2024 before deciding to rent it out.
While fans have long wondered if the forward pairing of Brown and Jayson Tatum could last forever, now would be a questionable time to separate the star duo . The 2025-26 season was expected to be a gap year of sorts, as the Celtics made a number of cost-cutting moves in the offseason due to Tatum's achilles injury. Brown stepped up in a big way while Tatum was sidelined, and it resulted in Boston exceeding all expectations. Now, the Celtics are expected to return to contention ahead of next season. The Celtics will surely hear out an Antetokounmpo trade package, but anything shy of that would likely ensure Brown remains in Boston.
