James is a five-time Pro Bowler who has 21 tackles and one pass break-up so far this season. He was taken 17th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Florida State and has gone on to become one of the NFL's best defensive backs, and a player Harbaugh's team has relied on ever since. James was coached by current defensive coordinator Chris O'Leary, and previously by Jesse Minter, who is now the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.
