- Chiefs TE Travis Kelce reacts to recent major career milestones
On the latest episode of the New Heights podcast , Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce told his brother, Jason, how he reacted to reaching several recent career milestones.
"Nice, that's fun stuff, man. It's pretty cool. We've said it over the past, you know, probably a year. I've been in just the discussions of being top 10 in the receptions, and you know, top five in terms of yards and stuff like that. But it's all that is hoopla, man. If you're not winning football games, man, it's pointless, man," said Kelce. "It's such a team game. The individual stuff is cool to look at, but at the same time, if I don't have Andy Reid dialing these things up, if I don't have great teammates holding each other accountable, there's no success at all."
"So it's just very appreciative of the situation I've been in," said Kelce, "shout out to the guys that have done it before me, like a Tony Gonzalez and like a Marvin Harrison and Cris Carter that you know make it you know that much more of an honor to be in the conversations with them."

Kelce recently surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez for the most receiving yards by a tight end, including the postseason, in NFL history. He also surpassed Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison for the fifth-most regular-season receptions in NFL history, trailing only Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Gonzalez, and Jason Witten.
The 11-time Pro Bowler and likely future Pro Football Hall of Famer remains focused on team goals over his many individual accolades. He could be in his last season, but the 37-year-old is still performing at an elite level.
