At the most crucial stage of the tournament, Chivas Femenil have demonstrated their ability to overcome any challenge and reach the final stretch of the Apertura 2026 in the best possible form. Now, ahead of the final matchday of Liga Femenil, which also brings El Clásico de México , Antonio Contreras'side boast impressive numbers heading into the do-or-die stage of the competition.
Let's put things into perspective: by the end of the first half of the tournament, the Rojiblancas had collected just 3 of the last 9 available points, suffering two consecutive home defeats along the way, results they did not deserve based on their performances on the pitch. El Rebaño's response began on Matchday 8, when they defeated Xolos 2-0 at Estadio Caliente, marking the resurgence of the Guadalajara side.
With Matchday 14 just days away, Guadalajara are riding a six-match winning streak, including five consecutive victories without conceding a goal, having collected all 18 available points in the second half of the tournament. Along the way, they surpassed the 30-point mark once again, despite playing three fewer matches than under the previous competition format, and are enjoying one of their most prolific attacking campaigns compared to several previous tournaments.
But there is even more to highlight, as Chiverío have faced several playoff-caliber tests during this final stretch and passed them with flying colors to keep their winning streak alive. They defeated Bravas and Toluca, two opponents who were shaping up as potential quarterfinal rivals, thanks to a clear playing philosophy and the collective and individual quality of every player on the squad.
To all of this, we must add the secret ingredient: a team that works together, fears no opponent, and has developed a level of resilience that very few teams possess. This allows them to stand strong in the face of adversity and, through hard work and a clear game plan, turn around any challenge that comes their way.
30 points, 32 goals scored, 6 clean sheets, a place among the top four teams in both attack and defense, and a consecutive winning streak that confirms Chivas Femenil are going all out for El Clásico de México and much more in AP26.
