- Cisse calls out Rooney and Dean over Man City-QPR conspiracy claims

Former Queens Park Rangers forward Djibril Cissé has demanded showdown talks with Wayne Rooney and Mike Dean over their "bulls---" remarks about him "celebrating" Manchester City beating his own team to win their first Premier League title.
Cissé reacted with fury after a clip re-emerged of Rooney and Dean, the former Premier League referee, discussing City's 2012 victory over QPR.
The footage from a 2025 episode of The Overlap Fan Debate was posted on X in the wake of City being found guilty last week of the overwhelming majority of the 115 charges against them for financial rule breaches, something that could result in them being stripped of Premier League titles .
Sergio Agüero scored a stoppage-time winner against a QPR side who were in danger of being relegated on what was the final day of the season.
Dean, who took charge of the match, said: "What was strange about it – and we all alluded to what was going on near the end of the game – once QPR found out they were safe... I spoke to Clint Hill about this before, once they knew they were safe, the game restarted. Jamie Mackie 's on the pitch celebrating while the game is still going on, because they know they're safe.
"They make it 2-2, and they just kick it back and give it to them. I said, 'What's going on here? Why are they giving the ball back straight away?' We actually said on the earpiece, 'Why are they giving the ball back straight away here?'"
Rooney, who scored in United's 1-0 win at Sunderland on the same day, then pointed out that QPR forward Cissé celebrated with City players after the match.
Cissé responded at the time by telling FourFourTwo : "I'm not going to take this accusation any longer. I was celebrating with Samir Nasri .
"I didn't celebrate with Mario Balotelli , Sergio Agüero or anybody else. I celebrated with my brother, Samir, who had been a friend of mine for 15 years.
"I was happy for my friend and also that we managed to stay up. I don't care about Man City. My friend finally won the Premier League after many years in England and I was happy for him and also for me. That's all."
After a clip of Rooney and Dean's discussion was posted to X over the weekend, Cissé wrote on Monday: "I'm not gonna let you people talk s--- like that.
"Let's have a proper meeting and talk about it. There is no way I gonna accept your bulls--- anymore. So let's do it."
In another post, Cissé added: "Is it our fault if they [City and United] have lost 5 games in the league and waited [until] the last game to win the league???"
