CLEMSON — Clemson football starting defensive tackle Stephiylan Green entered the transfer portal when it opened on Jan. 2.
Green became a starter in his third season with the Tigers, recording 18 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, and one pass deflection in 10 games and six starts this season. In his three-year Clemson career, he recorded 34 tackles and two pass deflections in 24 games.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
Green was in line for a more prominent role with co-starters Peter Woods and DeMonte Capehart departing for the 2026 NFL Draft. Now, defensive tackle is a major portal need for Clemson as the Tigers lost all of their defensive-tackle starters.
Clemson enters 2026 with six scholarship defensive tackles: Vic Burley, Champ Thompson, Hevin Brown-Shuler, Amare Adams , Makhi Williams-Lee and freshman Kam Cody.
