- COLLEGE FOOTBALL NOTEBOOK | Perkovich makes early impact at DI
It hasn't taken Tom Perkovich long to find his footing at the Division I level.
After leading Susquehanna to unprecedented heights in a 10-year stint in Selinsgrove — including national semifinal and quarterfinal runs over the past two seasons — Perkovich has quickly revitalized Albany in his first year.

The Great Danes won at Rhode Island, 38-21 on Saturday, handing the Rams their first home loss in almost three years, snapping a 17-game home winning streak.
Former Division III All-American Rahshan La Mons, who followed Perkovich from SU to Albany, led the Great Danes' offense against Rhode Island, rushing for a career-high 196 yards and three scores.
Perkovich has Albany at 5-3 overall and 3-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association and just outside the FCS Top 25 rankings. Albany's lone league loss is to No. 18 Monmouth by a touchdown.
In the two seasons before Perkovich arrived in Albany, the Great Danes were 6-18 overall and 3-13 in the CAA.

In 10 seasons at SU, Perkovich had an 84–25 overall record, winning league titles in each of his final four seasons.
Stuck on 18
Bucknell senior receiver Sam Milligan, a preseason All-American, is still chasing the program record for receiving touchdowns.
Milligan, who caught 10 touchdown passes in 2025, has three this season, giving him 18 for his career. He remains tied with Tom Mitchell, Lester Erb and Will Carter with 18.
Milligan's last touchdown came in week two against Villanova, when he caught two touchdowns among his 13 grabs.
The senior from Strath Haven caught three passes for 46 yards in Saturday's 34-3 loss to Holy Cross.

Landmark domination
Susquehanna continued its domination of the Landmark Conference on Saturday with a 36-15 victory at Wilkes.
The River Hawks improved to 6-1 overall and remained unbeaten in conference play at 3-0, using a balanced offensive attack and a pair of interceptions to secure their third straight Landmark victory.
The win was SU's 21st consecutive Landmark win and 31st consecutive conference win, dating back to its 10-game win streak in its final season in the Centennial Conference in 2022.
Against the Colonels, Matt Surtz rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, while Tommy Wright completed 16-of-22 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns, each to a different receiver.
