Saturday has finally arrived, and with Arizona State traveling to take on Texas A&M, Arizona visiting BYU in Provo, and Georgia Tech hosting Tennessee in a Week 2 showdown in Atlanta, there's a great lineup of games to add to your betting card.
I've zeroed in on three player props for Saturday, including picks for Arizona State's Omarion Miller, BYU's LJ Martin, and Georgia Tech's Justice Haynes.
With that said, let's dive into my top three college football player propsand NCAAF picks for Week 1 on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Omarion Miller wasted no time validating the hype in his Arizona State debut, hauling in 8 catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in a 70-7 blowout of Morgan State. He was the Sun Devils' most-targeted receiver from the jump, opening the scoring with a 10-yard touchdown grab as Cutter Boley threw for 387 yards and six scores in one of the most efficient debuts in recent program history .
It was exactly the kind of workload Arizona State envisioned when it landed him as the highest-rated transfer addition in school history.
That kind of production is also just who Miller has been. Looking back at his 2025 season at Colorado, he cleared 46.5 receiving yards in 9 of 11 games — a roughly 82% hit rate that included big performances against quality competition like Auburn (127 yards) and Ole Miss (131 yards). This isn't a receiver who only pads his numbers against overmatched defenses; he's shown he can produce across a wide range of matchups.
Week 2 brings a real step up in competition as Arizona State travels to No. 8 Texas A&M, a defense that allowed just 30 passing yards in its own Week 1 shutout and is anchored by captains Marcus Ratcliffe and Dalton Brooks. That's a legitimate test.
However, A&M's pass rush is still unproven, which could buy Boley the time he needs, and multiple beat writers previewing this game have specifically flagged that the Aggies' secondary will have its hands full with Miller and fellow transfer Reed Harris given their size and playmaking ability.
Between his early, heavy role in this new-look ASU passing attack and a near-90% track record of clearing this kind of number, Miller looks like a receiver built to produce even in a tougher road environment.
Pick: Omarion Miller Over 46.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
LJ Martin's role in the passing game showed up in Week 1 exactly as expected. His damage against Utah Tech came almost entirely on the ground, where he ran for 54 yards on 7 carries, while the receiving production in BYU's 63-7 win flowed instead to true freshman Legend Glasker and the tight ends. Martin didn't register any meaningful line as a pass-catcher in the box score.
That's consistent with how he's used across a full season, not just a one-game sample. Over 13 games in 2025, Martin caught 36 passes for just 255 yards, a 19.6 yards-per-game average that already sits comfortably under this number even before accounting for game-to-game variance.
A workhorse rushing role at his volume (236 carries last year) simply doesn't leave much bandwidth for a heavy receiving workload layered on top of it, and that pattern carried right into the opener.
The Week 2 matchup only reinforces the lean. BYU hosts Arizona in the Big 12 opener, and the Wildcats' defense was excellent in its own opener, holding Northern Arizona to -7 rushing yards while returning most of their front seven.
A defense playing that disciplined against the run tends to force backs into checkdown duty rather than featuring them as receivers, which doesn't favor a big day for Martin through the air.
BYU's passing attack is also increasingly funneling through Glasker and the perimeter targets rather than the backfield, and with backup running back Sione Moa out injured, Martin may see even more early-down rushing work, which may further limit his snaps running routes.
Pick: LJ Martin Under 22.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Justice Haynes led Georgia Tech with 64 yards on 19 carries in the Week 1 loss to Colorado, but most of that total came on the Yellow Jackets' opening drive before Colorado's front shut the run game down for the rest of the night. Backfield partner Malachi Hosley fared even worse (14 yards on 6 carries), and Georgia Tech finished with just 56 rushing yards as a team. A jarring drop from the 320 yards it ran for against this same Colorado defense a year ago.
It's worth noting that Haynes' track record actually goes the other way. At Michigan last season, he cleared 65.5 rushing yards in six of his seven games, riding a 7.1 yards-per-carry average that made him one of the most explosive backs in the country before a foot injury ended his year.
The disconnect between that résumé and his Georgia Tech debut comes down to circumstance, not talent. He is working behind a shakier offensive line that allowed 3 sacks and posted a 0% run-stuff rate as a unit, and he's sharing carries in a three-man rotation with Hosley and Trelain Maddox rather than operating as a clear workhorse as he did at Michigan.
That context doesn't get any easier in Week 2. Georgia Tech hosts a ranked Tennessee team whose Jim Knowles-led defense piled up 13 tackles for loss and 7 sacks in its own opener, with All-SEC linebacker Arion Carter back from suspension to anchor the front. Tennessee is an 11.5-point favorite, and if Georgia Tech falls behind early, that only pulls the offense further away from the run.
Between the timeshare, the shaky offensive line, and a Tennessee front that looks like a legitimate step up from Colorado's, last week's diminished output looks more like the new baseline than an outlier.
Pick: Justice Haynes Under 65.5 Rushing Yards (-125)
