As part of roster cutdown day, the Indianapolis Colts are releasing veteran quarterback Easton Stick , according to the Indy Star's Joel Erickson.
Stick was a late addition to the Colts ' offseason roster, joining the team on June 1, with OTAs well underway.
This move by the Colts does not come as a surprise. Stick was the fourth quarterback on the roster behind Daniel Jones , Anthony Richardson, and Riley Leonard .
Stick's only preseason action came in the second half of the finale. There, he completed 8-of-15 passes for 78 yards.
Stick was a fifth-round pick in 2019 out of North Dakota State by the LA Chargers . He has appeared in six career games, making four starts. Stick has completed 64% of his 175 passes for 1,133 yards with three touchdowns to one interception.
Stick had previously worked with head coach Shane Steichen in LA.
