Jason Kelce's influence on the Philadelphia Eagles extends beyond his playing days. The former center is still finding ways to help the franchise, and this time by sharing lessons with a young offensive lineman trying to establish himself in the NFL. His latest advice to Jake Majors was simple; however, it carried the kind of message that can stay with a player long after training camp ends.
For Majors, getting time with a franchise legend offered a chance to learn about more than technique. Kelce's experience with the Eagles gave him a valuable perspective on the demands of playing offensive line for one of the league's most closely watched teams.

Kelce spent 13 seasons with the Eagles be fore retiring in 2024, building a reputation as one of the franchise's defining players. He now works in broadcasting, but his connection to the Eagles remains unaffected. His time around the team has also created opportunities to pass on what he learned to the next generation.
According to Andrew DiCecco's October 11, 2026, post on X, Kelce worked with Majors after a training camp practice. Their conversation covered jump sets, offensive line technique, and what it takes to play within Philadelphia's system.
"That particular thing was just, what's his mindset when it comes to jump sets, and just kind of picking his brain on what it means to be an offensive lineman in this system and for an organization like the Philadelphia Eagles,"
"Be confident in who you are."
Kelce's message went beyond the technical side of the position. He gave Majors one straightforward piece of advice that could prove important as the young lineman works to earn his place.
That message fits the challenge a developing offensive lineman faces. Learning a new system requires attention to detail; however, players also need confidence in their abilities when competing for opportunities. Kelce's experience gives his words added weight, considering the consistency and leadership he brought to the Eagles throughout his career.
Majors joined the Eagles' practice squad in September 2025 after being waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has since worked to develop his versatility, including taking reps at guard after primarily playing center. His progress has also come amid the team's broader effort to strengthen its offensive line depth.
Philadelphia has invested in younger linemen to prepare for injuries and future roster changes, with Majors among the developing options. Advice from someone who spent more than a decade anchoring the unit offers a useful perspective.
Kelce's legacy in the Eagles is already secure, except moments like this show another side of his impact. However, for Majors, the next step is turning those lessons into consistent performances and building the confidence to handle whatever opportunity comes his way.
