PHOENIX –The Phoenix Suns made one of the most intriguing moves of the 2026 NBA Draft when they traded up to select Arizona forward Koa Peat with the final pick of the first round. It was a move that signaled more than just talent acquisition. It showed a commitment to bringing local basketball success stories into the organization.
Former Arizona Wildcat Koa Peat provided toughness, versatility, and physicality in the frontcourt, while Jaden Bradley served as the steady floor general who kept everything organized. Together, they helped transform Arizona into one of the nation's top teams and a legitimate championship contender.

For Phoenix , Bradley could represent tremendous value in the second round. The Suns continue to search for young talent that fits a long-term vision, and Bradley's strengths extend beyond the box score. He plays with poise, defends at a high level, and understands how to elevate the players around him. Those qualities often translate well to the NBA, especially for teams trying to establish a sustainable culture.

The strategic value goes beyond basketball. Arizona basketball carries enormous weight throughout the state. Wildcats fans already have a reason to watch the Suns because of Koa Peat. Adding Bradley would create an instant connection between Tucson and Phoenix, strengthening fan engagement while giving the franchise another young player familiar with winning expectations.
The best organizations look for advantages wherever they can find them. Sometimes that advantage comes from talent. Sometimes it comes from chemistry. If the Suns have an opportunity to reunite Peat and Bradley, they would be betting on both. If Arizona's Final Four season was any indication, that could be a gamble worth taking. The possibility of seeing the Wildcats' successful partnership continue in Phoenix is one of the most fascinating storylines still left to unfold this draft season.
