Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys ended a two-game skid in Week 7's edition of "Monday Night Football," jumping to 3-4 on the 2026 NFL season after a 38-21 road win over Tanner McKee and the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, the Cowboys will head back to Arlington in Week 8, set to host Jacoby Brissett and the Arizona Cardinals.
Prescott has had an up-and-down year to begin his 11th NFL season in Dallas. But the former Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback had arguably his best game of 2026 against the Eagles, completing 15-of-27 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns. And all three of his touchdown tosses were to his top two receivers, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
But despite the successful game, Prescott was missing one of his other top receivers, and that will be the same when the Cardinals come to town.

After a brief stint in the USFL following his college career at TCU, the Cowboys signed Kavontae Turpin to a three-year, $2.56 million contract, his first deal in the NFL. And the signing has proven successful for Dallas over the past five years, with Turpin earning two All-Pro nods as a return man. But his impact is also felt on offense, giving the Cowboys a speed threat at receiver who can also run the ball.
But Turpin has had a slow start to the 2026 season, recording four catches for 39 yards to go with 10 yards and a touchdown on the ground. But in the Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers, Turpin sustained a rib injury on the opening kickoff, forcing him to miss essentially the entire game. The speedster was also ruled out for the Week 7 win over Philly as he recovers from his injury.
Leading up to the Week 8 game against Arizona, Turpin was unable to practice all week due to the rib issue. And on Friday, the Cowboys announced that Turpin will miss a second straight game against Arizona, leaving Prescott without his speedy wideout and returner once again.
Prescott and the Cowboys will face the Cardinals on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
