- Cowboys Ex QB Torches Dak Prescott's 'Lazy' Offense After Dismal Loss
The aftermath of the Dallas Cowboys' 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night at Lambeau Field has been exactly what you would expect - brutal.
The defense was gashed often in the first half, but managed to steady the ship somewhat in the second, but the offense, the one thing that fans could lean on this season, was again toothless.

Dak Prescott was lit up countless times by Packers defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon as the Cowboys had no answer to his blitz packages, Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer's play-calling was again questioned, and the turnovers plagued Dallas again.
So yeah, it was a night to forget in Lambeau, and such was the performance that every man and his dog has torched the Cowboys ... and rightly so.

Ah, but when a former NFL quarterback does it, we take notice.
Ben DiNucci, who was a Cowboy for a minute as a Dak backup, took to X and tore the offense a new one, with one word sticking out like a sore thumb.

That word, which if Dallas players see it, should make them seethe?
"Lazy.''
"You can't turn on the Cowboys tape from last night and tell me guys on that offense are giving 100%," DiNucci posted . "Lazy, no attention to details, no creativity with play calls. Cowboys fans I understand the frustration."
That is a serious whack DiNucci has given his former team, and you can't blame him; they were awful.
After 10 days to prepare, the Cowboys' offense looked like it hadn't even studied for the Green Bay test.

They were forced to punt on their opening two drives, which set the tone for the night.
Now, as far as the "lazy" and "no attention to detail''?
DiNucci - drafted by Dallas in the last round in 2020 and a guy who has hung around the NFL a bit before sliding into a CBS media role - has been in that position before. So we'll defer to him.
Also, he's no "Cowboys enemy.'' He is friendly with Prescott and was a sort of "neighborhood protege'' of Mike McCarthy's back in the Pittsburgh area. And of course, Schottenheimer came to Dallas as a protege of mentor McCarthy.

So there are ties here.
But there is no denying that the Cowboys' offense, once their strength, has been poor in back-to-back games, which is worrying.
At 2-4, the season isn't done thanks to the dumpster fire that is the NFC East, but Dallas doesn't deserve to be anywhere near a "division winner" conversation right now after what was put on film against Green Bay.
Everyone is coming after Dallas right now; it's a dog pile. But when a knowledgeable former Cowboys player with no particular ax to grind torches them as DiNucci has?
Well, that tells you all you need to know about the current state of the team.
