Davante Adams is an inspiration to his coach , even though the Dallas Cowboys basically laughed about covering him in a joint practice. Furthermore, a Cowboys insider brought receipts to push back on a claim by a Rams insider about Davante Adams being uncoverable.

And then the rebuttal , according to a post on X by Joseph Hoyt.
"As we reported at the time: it looked like a true joint practice with both the Rams offense and the Cowboys' defense making plays, including this near INT by Shavon Revel against Davante Adams. So yeah, this is a stretch."

Cowboys secondary will be tested in Week 1
It's not like the Cowboys have to wait until Week 15 against the Rams to prove their point. They can get with it in Week 1 against the Giants, who are expected to have receiver Malik Nabers back on the field , according to Sports Illustrated.

"Nabers is recovering from a torn ACL, but appears to be back on track for Week 1 after shedding his red no-contact jersey during Monday's practice," Josh Sanchez wrote. "Barring a setback, it appears Nabers will be on the field."
Head coach John Harbaugh hasn't firmly committed to Nabers returning to face the Cowboys, according to ESPN.
"I just don't want to make any kinds of statements like that," Harbaugh said. "I think it's reasonable to assume that. Those are all kind of things you can assume based on watching the guy practice. But the only thing I know more than you guys know is what the doctors and trainers tell me as far as his rehab. And that is he's doing well."
The Cowboys are eager to show off their new defense. They have a new coordinator in Christian Parker. And their revamped secondary has Caleb Downs, DaRon Bland, Cobie Durant, Jalen Thompson, and Malik Hooker in the expected starting lineup.
