The deadline to enter the college football transfer portal has passed, and teams are finalizing their transfer classes. However, some entries from the final day may not be announced until this week, as it can take a few days to process them, especially with Monday being the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
One of the most sought-after recruits in the transfer portal is former Colorado Buffaloes star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton . He was a five-star recruit and recognized as a freshman All-American in 2024.
This season, he received second-team All-Big 12 honors. He officially entered the transfer portal last week, and his first official visit was with the Mississippi State Bulldogs. His offensive line coach from his first year in Boulder, Phil Loadholt, is the offensive line coach at Mississippi State .

However, after leaving Mississippi State, Seaton visited the Miami Hurricanes and was expected to visit LSU Tigers on Sunday. He is now reportedly heading to Eugene, Oregon , to meet with the Oregon Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning.
Seaton's visit to Oregon adds another major variable to one of the most important transfer portal recruitments of the offseason. The Ducks have prioritized offensive line play under Lanning, and adding a proven Power Four tackle with immediate eligibility would solidify protection up front for the 2026 season. Oregon's recent success in developing NFL-caliber linemen could resonate strongly as Seaton weighs his options.
From a roster-building standpoint, landing Seaton would have ripple effects across the portal landscape. Programs like Mississippi State and LSU have made offensive line upgrades a centerpiece of their offseason strategies, and missing on Seaton could force them to pivot quickly before the window fully closes.
A commitment timeline is expected to accelerate following Seaton's visit to Eugene. With the portal window closed and visits wrapping up, a decision could come within days, setting the tone for how the Ducks, or one of their competitors, finalize spring depth charts heading into offseason workouts.
