Danilo Santos and Igor Thiago could do nothing but smile after finding the net for the first time for the Brazil ian National Team on Tuesday night (31), in the 3-1 win over Croatia at Camping World Stadium in Orlando — Gabriel Martinelli scored the other goal. Scorer of the goal that opened the scoring, Danilo followed the counterattack led by Vinicius Jr., who ran the length of the pitch and laid it off for the midfielder to strike powerfully into the top corner and score for the Canarinha at the end of the first half.
"I want to thank God, the boss (Ancelotti), and the group for this opportunity. I was able to score. The important thing is that we came away with the win, this World Cup cycle ended, and everything worked out today," celebrated the 24-year-old player.

Late in the second half, the match was level for only a few moments. Croatia's Majer made it all square, but Igor Thiago, shortly after, put the Canarinha back in front from the penalty spot. Before stepping up to take it, he received the ball from Endrick , whom he thanked for the trust.
"Inside the locker room, that's how we are, everyone supporting each other. I'm very happy that he gave me the ball, trusted me, and believed in my work. In the last World Cup, we went out like that, conceding a goal at the end, but we were resilient. I'm very happy for the opportunity," said the center forward.
With Danilo Santos and Igor Thiago competing for two of the 26 spots for the World Cup, Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti will announce the squad for the tournament on May 18.
