The Las Vegas Raiders should be a fun team to watch at training camp . Vegas added a platoon of talented players this offseason, creating hope for a bright future. But one former Raiders player had his eyes on the past when he shared a bold message about one past teammates in Las Vegas.
Ex-Raiders quarterback Derek Carr shouted out one of his former teammates on social media.
Carr posted a video of Hunter Renfrow highlights along with a goat emoji as the caption. The message is clear: Carr is heaping praise on his former receiver and declaring that he is underrated.

The Raiders selected Renfrow in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He started his career out with two incredible seasons in Las Vegas. The highlight of his career was the 2021 campaign where he logged 103 receptions for 1,038 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Renfrow led the Raiders in all three categories, proving that he was Carr's most reliable weapon.
Unfortunately, Renfrow's career took a turn for the worse in 2022 . He suffered a concussion in Week 2 that forced him to miss several weeks. As a result, Renfrow finished that season with career lows. Renfrow never replicated the success he had in 2021 and left the team after the 2023 season.
But Renfrow made an attempt at reviving his career last fall, signing with Carolina just before the regular season. The 30-year-old receiver only managed 15 receptions for 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns in two starts and six appearances.
Still, it was an impressive comeback for the underrated Raiders star.
The 2026 Raiders squad could really use a receiver like Renfrow during his prime years. It is one of the biggest holes on the offensive side of the roster.
Hopefully Vegas can get by with their sub-par wide receiver room later this fall.
