Week 8 effectively ended the Baltimore Ravens ‘ hopes of a 2026 title run. After being without top star and QB1 Lamar Jackson for the last three weeks, the two-time MVP returned to action on Sunday and offered Baltimore renewed hope. However, that hope was dashed early in their game against the Buffalo Bills when he smashed his right thumb on a helmet. It caused an injury that required immediate surgery and ended his season.
Despite owning a 4-4 record, there has been a lot of speculation that the Ravens could now decide to be sellers before next week’s NFL trade deadline. On Monday, New York Giants insider Paul Schwartz suggested that star running back Derrick Henry could soon be up for grabs to RB-needy teams like Big Blue.
If the Ravens threw up the white flag and actually started listening to offers on the five-time Pro Bowler, let’s take a look at five teams that could pursue a trade before Nov. 10.

Over the weekend, the Green Bay Packers were reportedly involved in ongoing trade talks with the Indianapolis Colts for star running back Jonathan Taylor. The reason why, despite having a Pro-Bowl running back, is because Josh Jacobs’ availability for the rest of the season is unclear, as a potential suspension looms for his domestic violence arrest earlier this year.
The cost of a Henry trade will probably be less than for Taylor. With Green Bay having extra picks in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds in April, they can put together a good trade package that doesn’t involve a first-round pick.

The Giants have also been linked to Taylor trade rumors because head coach John Harbaugh wants an offense led by the run game. That same desire is why he pushed to bring Henry to Baltimore a few years ago when some around the NFL thought his best days were behind him. They weren’t.
The coach knows what he is getting in the 32-year-old and how he is a perfect fit for the style of offense he wants to play. Henry and Cam Skattebo could be a punishing duo that would beat up opposing defenses just the way Harbaugh wants.

The offense is the obvious weakness for the Denver Broncos . Especially since QB Bo Nix has not taken another leap forward in his game. Nix is going nowhere, so there are many around the league who believe Denver is pursuing an upgrade at RB to improve the offense’s effectiveness.
Henry would be a huge upgrade in the backfield for the second half. He would make life easier for Nix and the passing game because opposing defenses would have to respect their rushing attack far more than they have this season.

While Aaron Jones Sr. has been rock-solid for the Minnesota Vikings this season, they need much more from the position because they are weak at quarterback. It is why they have also been linked to Taylor trade rumors over the last week.
The Vikings have a defense that can carry them to the Super Bowl if they can get more out of their offense. That is why they may be desperate enough to give the Ravens whatever they want to maximize this opportunity before defensive coordinator Brian Flores gets a head coaching job in the offseason.

The Seattle Seahawks backfield has dealt with injuries all season long. However, when fully healthy, there is some doubt about whether what they have is good enough to give them a real chance at repeating as champions this season. This is why they have also been linked to running back trade rumors in recent weeks.
Henry would relish the chance to play for the defending champions, and since the Seahawks own all their future draft picks , including extra in rounds three and five in 2027, Seattle could certainly make an offer that Baltimore can’t refuse.
