- Devils Daily: Devils Owners Slow Burn; Quinn Hughes, Wild Fall Behind Stars
One of the things New Jersey Devils fans are rooting for is a Minnesota Wild first-round exit.
Why?
Because some are still holding onto hope that the Devils could reel in the eldest Hughes brother if he’s hesitant to commit to his new team. When the calendar strikes July 1st, Hughes has one year left on his contract. So whether it’s in a deal this summer or via free agency next offseason, the less Minnesota succeeds, the more likely it is that Quinn won’t commit.

Forever Blueshirts: The New York Rangers know their top-six wasn’t scaring anyone. Part of the issue is that Alexis Lafreniere didn’t take an expected step forward. The former No.1 overall pick explained he knows he can be even better, and is looking to build on his strong finish in 2025-26.
The Athletic ($): Devils fans are hoping it’s poor, but after the Minnesota Wild’s loss to the Dallas Stars last night, their response in Game 4 while trailing in the series 2-1 will really tell us all if they’re different.
If not, perhaps Quinn Hughes isn’t a lock to stay in Minny.
Boston Hockey Now: From the Boston Bruins side of things, they have no captain in this Stanley Cup Playoffs run. However, Jeremy Swayman is establishing himself as a leader.

Philly Hockey Now: What a series this is turning out to be for the Philadelphia Flyers . They took a 3-0 series lead over their Pennsylvania rivals last night amid a bevy of chaos. More here from Will James.
