Baseball fans shared their takes on MLB insider Ken Rosenthal's bizarre question to Rays SS Taylor Walls during the postgame interview after Tampa had beaten the Brewers in World Series Game 4 at Tropicana Field on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay won Game 4, 4-3, in extra innings off Ben Williamson's walk-off single in the 12th.
After the win, Walls fielded media questions when Rosenthal asked the shortstop whether it was important for the team to win at least one game to prove they belonged at this level, contending for the Commissioner's Trophy. Walls was taken aback and bluntly responded that it was disrespectful to think that way.
"I think that's pretty disrespectful. Honestly, we are a team capable of winning four, but no team wants to get swept. At the end of the day, we think we can win the whole thing," Walls said.

"Such a disrespectful question," one fan commented.

However, despite winning Game 4 and forcing Game 5 of the Fall Classic, Tampa Bay lost the 'must-win' Game 5 at Tropicana Field on Wednesday night. With a 4-1 win in Game 5, the Brewers secured their first championship in franchise history.
Walls went 0-for-3 in Game 5 as Milwaukee scored steadily and took a 4-0 lead in the sixth inning. Heading toward a shutout loss, Tampa Bay narrowly avoided it when LF Chandler Simpson drove in a run in the ninth off Brewers' closer Trevor Megill.
However, it was too little, too late for the home side, as Megill closed out the game and sealed Milwaukee's first Fall Classic title.

Taylor Walls Had a Postseason to Forget at the Plate
Walls had a disappointing postseason
offensively, finishing his playoff run 4-for-39 with no extra-base hits, no home runs, no RBIs, four walks, 2 runs, and a whopping 15 strikeouts in 14 postseason games. These stats tell a telling story for the shortstop who failed to impress at both ends of the field during the Fall Classic.
With the World Series loss, the Rays still search for their maiden title in franchise history, having lost the Fall Classic for the third time and a second time under the helm of skipper Kevin Cash, who previously guided the organization to contend for the title in 2020, only to go down to the Dodgers in six games.
