The Miami Dolphins are set to face the Detroit Lions, and the roster has already been hit with some good news in the latest injury report.
Running back Jaylen Wright missed practice on Wednesday due to a quad injury, but he has since been upgraded.

There is a laundry list of injured players for the Dolphins, but most are limited and have not missed practice, minus Wright.
Wright played in Week 8, and it appears that he will be ready to go by the time the third and final injury report is released on Friday. Then again, he may be downgraded, along with the other players on this list.
Among the limited participants are: long snapper Tucker Addington (shoulder), running back Kaytron Allen (quad), edge Malik Herring (neck), tight end Will Kacmarek (hamstring), edge Chop Robinson (knee), defensive lineman Zach Sieler (shoulder), safety Michael Taaffe (wrist), and safety Dante Trader Jr. (shoulder).
There were also some players that have been full participants.
Guard Kadyn Proctor (concussion), cornerback Reese Taylor, and quarterback Malik Willis (groin).
The Dolphins are getting back a big piece of their offense with the return of Proctor. The rookie lineman missed Week 8 due to a concussion that landed him in the concussion protocol.
Proctor has since moved through the protocols and is tracking to play in Week 9 against the Lions.
There are no other major concerns for this Miami roster, but that could change between now and Saturday. As stated, many of these players could experience setbacks, or they may also be upgraded.
Thus far, the Dolphins have shown plenty of fight through this midway point of the 2026 season. Their 1-6 record is not indicative of the skill that continues to be shown.
Granted, Miami is a young team that continues to make some big mistakes, hence their record. However, the youthful nature of the roster continues to evolve each week.
Head coach Jeff Hafley stated earlier this season that it's not about wins or losses, but about how the roster performs each week. There is a lot to evaluate already, as the Dolphins have been mostly competitive through eight weeks thus far.
What will be interesting to see is if the team makes any moves ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. There are not many players that can be moved, but there could be some surprises happening in the next few days.
