The Miami Dolphins welcomed their rookies back to their facility this week, and they placed first-year wide receiver Chris Bell on the non-football injury list as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered in college.
While veterans won't report until next week, the Dolphins made two roster moves on Thursday, placing cornerbacks Darrell Baker Jr. and Storm Duck on the active/physically unable to perform list (PUP).
Players on the PUP list can participate in all team activities except for practice and can be activated at any point during camp when they are cleared. However, if they aren't cleared by the end of camp, they're moved to reserve/PUP and must miss at least four games.
Baker joined the Dolphins on a one-year deal this offseason after stints with the Arizona Cardinals , Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans . His injury is unknown, but if he can return to the practice field soon, with his level of experience, he could compete for a starting job.
Duck signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2024 after playing at North Carolina and Louisville and earning All-ACC honors once in college. After appearing in 14 games as a rookie, he played in just two games last year as a knee injury ended his season in Week 8. He could also be a starter in 2026 if he's healthy.
