Drake has reportedly placed a $1 million bet on Arsenal to beat Paris Saint-Germain , and that alone was enough to drag him into the Champions League final conversation.
It is not about Arsenal needing celebrity backing. It is about Drake turning another major sporting event into a betting subplot before the serious business starts.

The "Drake curse" line is easy, but it is also a bit lazy. The more interesting point is simpler. Every big wager he is linked with now becomes part of the show.

Drake has been here before. He lost a $1 million Argentina bet at the 2022 World Cup final, even though Argentina lifted the trophy after beating France on penalties.
That is why the Arsenal claim has spread so quickly. It is not just the size of the stake. It is the memory of Drake backing huge outcomes and still becoming the punchline.
Another high-profile bet went wrong when Tyson Fury lost to Oleksandr Usyk. That adds to the online reaction, even if it proves nothing about what happens tonight.

Arsenal do not need a curse narrative before PSG final
Arsenal already have enough at stake as they face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. This is not a match that needs superstition to feel significant.
The final takes place in Budapest on Saturday, with PSG arriving as holders and Arsenal chasing a first Champions League title.
Drake matters here because he makes the occasion louder. He does not make it more meaningful. Arsenal's night will be decided by football, not by a betting slip or a viral curse narrative.
