Draymond Green was ejected from tonight's game between the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns early in the third quarter after a heated exchange with Dillon Brooks , who confronted him for throwing his teammate, Khaman Maluach, to the ground.
Less than three minutes into the third quarter, Green tracked back on defense, grabbed Khaman Maluach under the basket, and dragged him to the floor. Dillon Brooks took exception and rushed over to confront Green.
Draymond Green responded unapologetically by grabbing Brooks's collar and telling him not to touch him. Brooks didn't let go easily, and the coaching staff and other teammates had to intervene to separate the duo.
Draymond Green was assessed a double technical on this play and was ejected.

Green was assessed a technical foul for dragging Maluach down on a non-basketball play, and a subsequent double-technical for his altercation with Brooks. Draymond Green was hence ejected from the game.
NBA fans saw this fight on social media and flooded it with reactions that mostly blamed Draymond Green for his villainous tendencies.
"Dirtiest player in the NBA, not even close!"
"At this point, this is not cute anymore. Dray has to stop playing."
"Draymond is back in his midseason form."
"Bro just needs to retire at this point."
"Deserves to get tossed every single game."
"The on-court beef that we've all been waiting for. 😂"
The Warriors veteran finished with four points, four rebounds, and two assists, going 1-2 from the field (50.0% FG) in 17 minutes of action. He returned tonight from injury after missing last night's game against the Clippers.
Meanwhile, Dillon Brooks had 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists while shooting 5-8 from the field (62.5% FG) and 2-2 from behind the three-point line (100% 3P).
Things were bound to get chippy when two of the game's biggest 'villains' went head-to-head. Earlier this summer, Dillon Brooks recognized that Draymond Green is one of the few people in the league who has mastered being a villain on the court .
It's Draymond Green's first ejection of the season and the 23rd of his regular season career. But the Warriors got the last laugh, coming away with a 116-113 win tonight, and extending their winning streak to five games.
The two sides are set to meet two more times this season: once on December 28 in Phoenix, then again on April 6, 2027, at the Chase Center. It will be interesting to see what either side says about this altercation after the game.
