- Duke and NC State Prepare for Rivalry Showdown With ACC Stakes on the Line

Duke and NC State meet Saturday in one of the most important ACC matchups of Week 10.
The Blue Devils enter at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play. NC State is 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the ACC.
Both teams are coming off victories, but Duke enters with considerably more momentum.
Duke delivered one of its strongest performances of the season against Boston College.
The Blue Devils won 47-2 behind five rushing touchdowns from Nate Sheppard. Their defense also recorded six sacks.
That combination makes Duke dangerous heading into the rivalry game.
NC State will need to handle the pressure and avoid putting itself in difficult passing situations.
The Wolfpack defeated California 31-10 in Todd Goebbel's interim coaching debut.
Running back Davion Gause rushed for 104 yards in the victory. His production gives NC State an important foundation heading into Saturday.
The Wolfpack will need another strong rushing performance to control the game.
Duke has a better overall record, but rivalry games rarely follow expectations.
A victory would give either team an important boost entering the final weeks of the regular season.
