The Philadelphia Eagles , as an organization, have seen better days, with the team struggling to find any rhythm each week.
Philadelphia has now lost six straight games for the season after a 2-0 start to open the year. The Eagles have been dealing with all sorts of injuries up and down the roster, mainly coming from the offensive side of the ball.

Starting quarterback Jalen Hurts has missed the last few games due to a blood clot issue, and he will be out for the remainder of the season. Losing Hurts for the year is a brutal loss for the Eagles, and his future with Philadelphia or in the NFL, remains in question.
The Eagles have also seen star wide receiver DeVonta Smith miss multiple games this year, which has played a big role in the lack of offense. Smith was expected to be the top pass-catcher for Philadelphia this season, and without him, the unit has struggled heavily.
Philadelphia lost to the Washington Commanders this past week, seeing their record fall to 2-6 on the season. At this point, the Eagles seem to be in a free fall, with the season starting to spiral out of control.
And in a new edition of NFL Power Rankings from Bleacher Report , the Eagles continue to fall backward. Philadelphia went from being the No. 24-ranked team a week ago to now being ranked at No. 27.

With how the season has gone for this team, there have now been trade rumors all around them. The NFL trade deadline is a week away, and the Eagles are expected to be one of the bigger sellers around the league.
Players such as Riq Woolen and Landon Dickerson could be moved , giving the Eagles more future draft capital to use. Philadelphia's front office has never been shy around trade deadlines, and the expectation is that this will continue.
Star running back Saquon Barkley has been in trade talks, but the Eagles have given him assurances that he won't be moved . Barkley wants to help turn things around in Philadelphia, being the leader that this group needs right now.
Overall, 2026 has been a terrible year for the Eagles, but the team isn't out of the playoff picture just yet. Given how poor the NFC East has been this season, the Eagles are just a few games behind the New York Giants for the lead.
