The Philadelphia Eagles and general manager Howie Roseman have never shied away from being active in NFL trade discussions. Over the years, Roseman has had one of the more aggressive mindsets in the trade market.
With the 2026 NFL trade deadline coming up after Week 9, it would not be surprising to hear the Eagles come up quite a bit in the rumor mill.
During the offseason, Philadelphia made some changes. The biggest change was the decision to trade star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots. Even though the trade deadline is weeks away, Roseman made another move on Wednesday.
Roseman decided to trade Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens, along with a 2027 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a 2027 fifth-round pick and a 2028 second-round selection. His wheeling and dealing ways continue.
Keeping that in mind, the Eagles have now been linked to a potential trade idea that would send a sleeper pass rusher out of town.

Eagles' Pass Rusher Linked to Potential Trade Deadline Move
CBS Sports analyst Zachary Pereles believes that A.J. Epenesa could be a trade candidate before the deadline. He also named one team who could make sense for the former Buffalo Bills defensive end.
Pereles named the Atlanta Falcons as the team to watch.
"Atlanta defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has done a tremendous job this season making the most out of a defensive front mostly consisting of journeyman veterans," Pereles wrote . "Perhaps Epenesa could be next."
Epenesa was signed by Philadelphia during free agency this offseason. So far this season, he has not been able to carve out a role within the Eagles' defense.
Throughout his 94-game NFL career, the 28-year-old defensive end has recorded 139 total tackles, 24 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, four interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 21 defended passes. He has produced enough numbers to make himself an intriguing option for a team needing pass rushing help on a cheap price tag.
Expect to continue hearing rumors about the Eagles as the trade deadline continues to draw closer. For now, Epenesa is worth watching as a possible trade candidate, although he wouldn't bring back too much of a return.
