Dawn Staley is among the most reputed women college basketball head coaches and has led the South Carolina Gamecocks to many milestones, including three national championships and nine SEC championships.South Carolina's head coach's name made waves for an NBA job last year, and he's reportedly in the mix again for the Mavericks' head coaching job.
Talking about the Mavericks potentially hiring Staley, analyst Jimmy shared his thoughts and highlighted that while she is one of the most decorated WNBA players of all time, along with being a prestigious head coach, he believes it would be too big of a gamble.
Jimmy further pointed out that transitioning from a college head coach to an NBA head coach is already a big gamble; getting a women's college head coach to the league would be an even bigger risk.

"I'm all for the interview so we can prod her mind but she needs NBA coaching experience before I actually consider it." Another fan shared their thoughts.
"Don't do this to my team. Mens and women's basketball are almost entirely different sports." another fan pleaded.
"Ill say it.She can not relate to a bunch of dudes and a bunch of dudes can't relate to her. The coaching staff would have to be well assembled to cover that." Another fan pointed out.
"Yeah no disrespect to her coaching abilities but we all know how nba fans act towards women and I think Flagg has had his fair share of bs to put up with already." Another fan added.
"This would be an embarrassing hire." Another fan wrote.
