Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson is closely watching Manchester United youngster Shea Lacey.
The 19-year-old was born in Liverpool and has represented England at several youth levels. However, he's eligible to play for Ireland through his father, Paddy Lacey.

Lacey made headlines on Tuesday after playing an important role in United's dramatic 3-2 Champions League victory over AS Roma at Old Trafford.
He came off the bench for the final 16 minutes and assisted Matheus Cunha's winning goal
as United completed an impressive comeback.
Speaking about the possibility of Lacey representing Ireland, Hallgrimsson admitted that the youngster's family connection had caught his attention.
When asked whether he had contacted the winger ahead of Ireland's upcoming Nations League meeting with Austria, he said: "That would be for other guys in the association.

"But it was interesting looking at his Irish connection."
Lacey has represented England from Under-15 to U20 level, so a potential switch to Ireland would be an important decision.
The winger developed through United's academy before making his first-team debut in December 2025.
He scored within seven minutes of his senior debut against Brighton & Hove Albion in a League Cup match, although United eventually suffered a 3-2 defeat.
Hallgrimsson is currently strengthening his coaching team with familiar faces from English football.
Former United defender John O'Shea is his assistant manager, while ex-Everton full-back Seamus Coleman is set to join the Irish set-up in a coaching role.
