Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been omitted from the latest England squad named by Thomas Tuchel , while there are call-ups for Jobe Bellingham and Josh King .
The Three Lions carried out medical checks on Palmer this week as Tuchel pondered whether or not to include him for high-profile upcoming Nations League games against Croatia and Spain.
However, the 24-year-old has been left out by England, having previously been warned by Tuchel after withdrawing from the last squad that he misses "too many opportunities" to play for his country as the result of injury.
It is understood Chelsea communicated to the Football Association (FA) that Palmer was fit and ready to play if selected.

Maiden call-up: Jobe Bellingham has joined brother Jude in the senior England squad (PA)
There were also call-ups on Friday for Jude Bellingham's younger brother Jobe, Fulham teenager King, Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha, Inter Milan full-back Djed Spence and Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Arsenal winger Noni Madueke was left out.
There were returns following injury for Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Ben White, but no place once again for Manchester City's Phil Foden or Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo.
Mainoo pulled out of the last squad through injury after having been the only outfield player in Tuchel's World Cup squad not to get a single minute of game time during the summer.
Marcus Rashford is injured so absent from the squad, as is Bukayo Saka. The uncapped veteran Brighton goalkeeper Jason Steele keeps his place despite Dean Henderson's return to the Crystal Palace team following injury. Steele, King and Jobe Bellingham are the only uncapped players called up.
There was no space for Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall despite calls for him to be included from his team-mate James Tarkowski and manager David Moyes. Ex-Chelsea man Dewsbury-Hall has never received a senior call-up for England.
England captain Harry Kane has been named in the squad in the week that he signed his record-breaking new contract with Bayern Munich, having also recently won the Ballon d'Or award in London .
He will set a new record as England's most-capped men's player of all time if he plays next Thursday against Croatia at Wembley, having matched legendary goalkeeper Peter Shilton's mark of 125 appearances during the 3-0 win over the Czech Republic last month that all but sealed their place in the Nations League knockouts.
