"He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 24 September.
"The charge relates to an assault, which reportedly took place on 6 December 2025 at a nightclub on Wardour Street, W1."
A spokesperson for Toney said, via The Mirror : "Ivan acknowledges the charge and although he is naturally shocked, he looks forward to being given the opportunity to clear his name in court."

His inclusion raised eyebrows among many and drew considerable criticism, given that Toney is plying his trade in Saudi Arabia , despite having netted an impressive 42 goals last season.
Toney remained on the bench until the semi-final defeat against Argentina , entering as a late substitute. He then started the third-place playoff victory over France , remaining on the field for 78 minutes.
Toney launched his professional journey with his local side Northampton before putting pen to paper with Newcastle in 2015. Subsequently, he gained experience through temporary spells at Barnsley, Shrewsbury, Scunthorpe and Wigan. His prolific scoring record at Peterborough first grabbed attention, paving the way for his transfer to Brentford in 2020.
He netted 72 goals across 141 matches for the Bees prior to his lucrative Middle Eastern transfer, with 36 of those coming in the Premier League, which earned him his maiden England selection in 2022 and his international bow in March 2023.
Overall, Toney has represented his nation on 10 occasions, finding the net once in a friendly against Belgium at Wembley in March 2024.
