Erling Haaland's incredible goalscoring record for Norway continues
Erling Haaland 's extraordinary goalscoring record for Norway continues to reach new heights. The Manchester City striker scored twice in Norway's 3-2 Nations League victory over Denmark on Thursday, taking his international tally to 64 goals in just 56 appearances.
Haaland's double also saw him surpass Zlatan Ibrahimović 's 62 goals for Sweden , making him the highest-scoring Nordic player in international football history. He has also moved past Brazil legend Ronaldo , who finished his international career with 62 goals.

Haaland's remarkable Norway numbers
Haaland's recent form for his country has been particularly extraordinary. The 26-year-old has now scored 30 goals in his last 20 appearances for Norway, while he has found the net in 15 of his last 16 competitive internationals.
His only blank in that run came in Norway's World Cup quarter-final defeat to England , while he scored seven goals during the tournament itself.
Haaland has also scored two or more goals in 19 of his 56 international appearances, meaning he has produced a multi-goal performance in 34% of his games for Norway.
His latest double further strengthened his position as the leading scorer in UEFA Nations League history, with 21 goals in just 14 appearances in the competition.

Another Haaland milestone
The forward has been equally prolific in 2026, with 29 goals for Norway this calendar year.
Overall, his 64 goals put him 12th among European men's national-team goalscorers, despite having made considerably fewer appearances than many of the players above him.
Haaland's numbers are even more remarkable when his age and international experience are considered. With 64 goals already on the board, the City star continues to rewrite Norway's record books at a remarkable rate.
And there may be plenty more to come, with Norway's next Nations League fixture bringing a meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal on Sunday.
